Scientific presentations
Proposals for presentations can be submitted in two forms: a paper or a poster.
- Applications for the conference along with the abstract can be made by February 14, 2020

- Duration of the speech – 15 minutes
- It is possible to publish papers (after obtaining positive reviews) in the journal “Folia Turistica”

Thematic areas for presentations:
- Adventure pedagogy in Poland and in the world – comparative research
- Research perspectives for adventure pedagogy; theories and methods of research in this area
- Research results of adventure programs supporting upbringing (including the Scouts’ Movement organization, YMCA, Outward Bound)
- The use of adventure pedagogy in ecological education – research
- Games and gamification – contemporary effectiveness tests, potential for use in academic didactics
- Development of the idea of forest education in the field of formal and alternative education in Poland
- Experience design and experience economy at the service of Adventure
- Outdoor education and adventure education trends for personal development and therapy.
- Suggestions for answering the question: How is the concept of outdoor education and adventure education understood and implemented in Poland?
Conducting workshops
Do you want to run a workshop related to the subject of the conference? You’re welcome! Send us your proposal containing: information about the subject and form of the workshop, preferred time (90/180 min), minimum and maximum number of participants and location (indoors, outdoors). Aga Leśny (aga.lesny@naukaprzygoda.edu.pl) will be happy to answer all the questions about the workshops.
Experience sharing module
As a part of these modules it will be possible to present and discuss selected issues that have a practical rather than a academic dimension – e.g. presentation of good practices, completed projects.
It will be time and space to share experience of practitioners and theoreticians who recognize the importance of adventure in education and development as well as review of existing and past projects in this field.

- Exchange of experiences of practitioners and theoreticians who recognize the importance of adventure in education. Review of existing and past projects in this area.
- Adventure pedagogy in formal, informal and non-formal education.
- Use of adventure pedagogy to work with people with special needs.
- Support for sociotherapy, work with the disabled.
- Innovative projects and activities in the field of nature, forestry and environmental education; enhancement of activity of children from urbanized areas activation of urban children; preventive healthcare based on outdoor / adventure education.
Unconference space
Our goal is to create a space for workshops spontaneously proposed by participants and meetings of working groups. This is a response to the reported need to allocate time for meetings of people interested in a particular topic, e.g. preschool teachers, foresters, scientists. The final unconference plan is established on the first day of the conference.
